Professor Dr. Jumanne Abdallah Maghembe
The Guest Speaker to the 2001 Sokoine University of Agriculture Convocation Luncheon was Professor Dr. Jumanne Abdallah Maghembe. Professor Maghembe holds a Bachelors Degree in Forestry from Makerere - Kampala & Dar es Salaam Universities, Master of Science Degree in forestry from Agricultural University of Norway & University of Dar es Salaam. Maghembe is a PhD holder (Research Training) from Duke University & University of Dar es Salaam He did a Post doctoral Programme at ICRAF- Nairobi. Magembe who is currently a Member of Parliament for Mwanga Constituent is a Minister of Education & Vocational Training of the United Republic of Tanzania. He has served in several ministries including Minister of Tourism & Natural Resources; Minister of Labour, Employment & Youth Development. Read his speech here…
