He said that the orientation seminars provided to each institution aim to ensure productive efficiency including professionalism, patriotism with the correct use of funds in bringing development to the University.

Judge Warioba has said this in the city of Arusha, in the Olmotonyi Training Forest located within the campus of the Sokoine University of Agriculture during the opening of the training of members of the Council of the University in conjunction with the launch of the "Slidetec Sawmill 2020" forest products processing machine which worth approximately Tsh. 200 million.

"The training provided should change you to be more efficient and have financial discipline, but I congratulate you for buying this modern machine that provides practical training for students in the forestry sector," said Judge Warioba.

And the Vice-Chancellor of SUA, Professor Raphael Chibunda said that the presence of the machine is an improvement of modern practical training and it is capable of processing 10 to 15 cubic meters of wood for 8 hours because previously there was a wood machine that processed 5 to 7 cubic meters of wood for 11 hours.

He said that the training forest of Olmotonyi has been able to find the source of Mt. Meru Conservation and for the year, the income of Tsh. 700 million to Tsh. 1 billion is obtained depending on the trees. Also, it provides jobs for more than 60 workers in either forest or wood processing.

In addition, Acting Principal of Forestry, Wildlife and Tourism, Dr. Agnes Sirima has said that the new machine has been launched with the aim of increasing production, teaching Forestry degree students as well as those taking Forestry Technology and Value Addition and the University had two machines of the Kara type purchased in 1981 and Laimet in 1998 capable of processing wood volume of 5 to 7 cubic meters per hour.

She said that the Kara and Laimet machines were in need of regular maintenance, that's why the management of the University decided to buy a new logs processing machine from Finland at a cost of Tsh. 200 million and its ratio is greater to produce wood than the waste that comes out but the new machine has the ability to use a tractor to split wood in case of a power outage.
